Edit Your Home Page

Your website was created with some sample pages. You should edit these pages and replace the content with your own.

Warning: Your Home Page should not be deleted unless you select a different page as your Home Page. See the instructions to select a different Home Page.

Personal Faculty Website Home Page

Your “Home Page” is the Biography page.

  1. Login to your website using the Login link from Site Tools on the right sidebar of your website.
    (If you are already logged in, this link will read Site Admin.)
  2. Go to the Pages > All Pages section, hover over Biography and click Edit.

    Alternately, if you are logged in, you can select Edit from the Public view of your home page.

  3. Replace the existing content with your own. We have created some sample text to help you get started.
  4. Click Preview Changes in the Publish toolbox in the upper right of the page to preview what your page will look like with your own content. The Preview page will open in a new window or tab of your browser.

  5. When you are satisfied with the changes, click Update in the Publish box.

  6. Your content will be published to your Home Page.

Lab Website

Your “Home Page” is the Welcome page.

  1. Login to your website using the Login link from Site Tools on the right sidebar of your website.
  2. Go to the Pages section and select Welcome.

  1. Alternately, if you are logged in, you can select Edit from the Public view of your home page.

  2. Replace the existing content with your own. We have created some sample text to help you get started.
  3. Click Preview Changes in the Publish toolbox in the upper right of the page to preview what your page will look like with your own content.

  4. When you are satisfied with the changes, click Update in the Publish box.

  5. Your content will be published to your Home Page.

Selecting a Different Home Page

  1. In the Admin area, go to Settings > Reading.

  2. In the static page settings, click the Front page drop-down menu and select a different page.
  3. Click Save Changes.
    (Note: You should adjust your Main Menu to reflect the new Home Page.)
