Making Your Website Public
When your website was created, the Privacy option was set to “Search Engines Discouraged“. This feature also blocks your website from being listed in our Website Directory. Privacy was turned on to give you time to populate your website with your own content before being open to Search Engines and the directory listing. When you are ready to make your website more available, follow the steps below.
- From your Dashboard, select Search Engines Discouraged in the Admin bar at the top or in the Right Now box.
Alternately, you can select Settings > Reading from the tools on the bottom left.
- In the Reading Settings section, select “Allow search engines to index this site” next to Site Visibility.
- Click Save Changes.
