Jaeho received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology with highest honors in 2007, an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in 2012. His dissertation focused on nanoscale thermal phenomena in electronic devices and phase-change materials with Prof. Ken Goodson. Prior to joining UC Irvine in 2015, he worked as a postdoctoral scholar in Materials Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory with Prof. Peidong Yang. His research interests lie at the intersection of heat transfer and materials science, and addressing thermal management challenges in advanced electronics, aerospace, and space systems.
Amish Gautam

Amish received his Ph.D. with Distinction in Doctoral Research in the Physics Department from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2023. He is now doing postdoctoral research at UCI. His research interests include nanostructured and nanocomposite materials, thermoelectric, and clean-energy harvesting devices, and his current project involves thermopile-based highly sensitive broadband thermal detectors.

Dabin received his B.S, M.S and Ph.D in Chemical Engineering and Materials Sciences from Chung-Ang University in 2023. Dabin is now doing post-doctoral research at UCI. His research interests include nanomaterials, thermoelectric device and thermal management. His current research project involves CNT-based high emissivity and high thermal conductivity materials.
Charles Owens

Charles Owens received his B.A. in Physics from Pomona College in 2014, his M.A. in Finance from Claremont McKenna College in 2015, and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2017. His research interests include applications of thermoelectric materials and 3D printed structures to enhance and improve micro- and nanoscale thermal management. His current research project involves investigating thermal transport phenomena in metallic and polymer-based 3D manufactured microlattices.

Jiahui received his B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and B.S. in Mathematics from UC Irvine in 2020, and is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC Irvine. His research interests include micro/nanoscale thermal transport, nanomaterials, and thermoelectric energy harvesting. His current research project involves thermal characterization of metal silicide nanostructures for thermoelectric applications.

Jiajian received his B.Eng. in School of Mechanical and Power Engineering from Wuhan University in 2018, and is now pursuing his M.S. Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include micro- and nanoscale thermal transport, thermal boundary resistance and ultra-fast heat conduction. His current research project involves measurements of thermal transport in nanowires and their interfaces.

Hoyeon received his B.S. in Physics from UC Santa Barbara in 2019, and is now pursuing his M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC Irvine. His research interests include nanomaterials and radiative heating & cooling. His current research project involves investigating materials for radiative thermal management.

Zubair received his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai in 2023. Zubair is now pursuing his M.S. Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCI. His research interests include thermo-fluid analysis, cooling systems, electronics packaging, and micro- and nanoscale thermal management. His current project involves GPU packaging for cooling enhancement.
