Bradley J. Bartos
Bradley J. Bartos is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine. Through his work with the Irvine Simulation Modeling Laboratory, he has developed discrete-event population projection models for various criminal-justice and corrections systems in California. His research interests include mass incarceration, policy evaluation, time series models, and synthetic control group designs. Bradley is co-author of Design and Analysis of Time Series Experiments (Oxford University Press, 2017) and Interrupted Time Series Analysis (OUP, forthcoming) .

Christine Champion
Christine Champion is a fifth year doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law & Society. She earned a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration on Deviance and Socio-Legal Studies from the California State University, Fullerton and an M.A.S. in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine. Christine is interested in simulation modeling, drug policy and behavioral economics.

Michelle Mioduszewski
Michelle Mioduszewski is a Doctoral Student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Michelle is interested in the relationship between housing, crime, and city policies. She is currently using quasi-experimental methods to examine outcomes such as housing prices, crime, neighborhood revitalization efforts, and the effects of place based policies on neighborhood level outcomes.

Matthew Renner
Matthew Renner is a third year doctoral Student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at UC Irvine. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in English Literature. Matthew formerly worked as a criminal justice reporter for the Santa Barbara Independent newspaper Matthew’s research interests include quantitative research methods, policing, homicide and mental health policy.

Carol Newark
Carol Newark is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society. She graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in Criminology, and a B.A. in Psychology. Carol’s research interests include gun ownership, the gun control debate, perceptions of crime and safety, and both the intended and unintended consequences of policy.
