Congratulations, Dr. Bedgood and PhD Candidate Lees!

The first week in December brought two important transitions to our lab group. First, after five years in the lab, Samuel Bedgood defended his dissertation! His love of sea anemones, cheerful demeanor, and homemade Nutella-filled pretzels will be missed, but we wish him all the best in his postdoc in Integrative Biology at Oregon State. Second, Lauren Lees advanced to candidacy by passing her proposal defense with flying colors! Both events brought us together in-person as a lab group for the first time in a long time, and it was great to see everyone and toast Samuel’s and Lauren’s success.
