I am a cosmologist in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of California, Irvine.

My research area is cosmology: the study of the origin and evolution of the universe.  My particular focus is to better understand the cosmic acceleration that drives the universe to expand faster each day.  Is this because some form of dark energy pervades the universe and is increasingly overshadowing matter in shaping its cosmic future, or is our theory of gravity incomplete on the largest scales?

I am a member of two large international collaborations to survey the cosmos: DESI and LSST-DESC.  I previously worked on the BOSS and eBOSS surveys.

I was previously a member of the BaBar and L3 particle accelerator experiments.
