Professor Dollar is a co-PI of a new initiative awarded $600,000 by the California Educational Learning Lab program. Administered by the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, the California Education Learning Lab (“Learning Lab”) aims to increase learning outcomes and close equity and achievement gaps across California’s public higher education segments, particularly in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines. Along with PI Professor Peter Taborek and collaborators, the project, titled “Implementing and Testing Adaptive Learning Software for Introductory Physics, Chemistry and Engineering Classes,” will develop new adaptive material to improve the delivery of course content in a number of introductory STEM courses across engineering, physics, and chemistry. The full list of awardees for this year is located on this page.
