Drug Addiction Course @ UCI

Description: The objective of this upper level graduate course is to provide a comprehensive overview of topics and controversies in the addiction field. Main topics discussed include drug pharmacology, models/approaches to investigate addiction, brain circuits, genetics, epigenetics, and the cellular and molecular biology of drug addiction. Dr. Fowler is the course coordinator, and in addition to Dr. Fowler, sessions are taught by varying faculty experts in the addiction field at UCI, including Dr. Stephen Mahler, Dr. Marcelo Wood, Dr. Shahrdad Lotfipour, Dr. Sean Ostlund and Dr. Ariana Nelson.
