Taryn was selected to give a short talk titled “Overcoming Heterogeneity in Pancreatic Cancer by Targeting Ref-1 and Mitochondrial Metabolism” at the Tumor Metabolism Keystone Symposia in Vancouver!

Sabrina and Austin won best poster at the UCI 12th Annual Stem Cell Symposium for their poster titled “Uncovering UHRF1’s Role in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Development.” Congratulations Sabrina and Austin!!

The lab traveled to UCSF last week for the UC Pancreatic Cancer Consortium Annual Symposium. The Symposium featured a talk from Dr. Halbrook, a short talk from Sabrina, a lightning talk from Rima, and poster presentations from Anaí, Austin, and Taryn!

Rima won best poster at the 2024 Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Retreat for her poster titled “Targeting Epithelial-Stromal Crosstalk in Metastatic Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma.” Congrats Rima!!

Natalie was the first undergraduate in the lab and has been in the lab for the past 2 years. She recently received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research in Biological Sciences for her work with Rima assessing the immune landscape of primary vs metastatic PDAC. Congrats Natalie!
