Sabrina and Austin won best poster at the UCI 12th Annual Stem Cell Symposium for their poster titled “Uncovering UHRF1’s Role in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Development.” Congratulations Sabrina and Austin!!
UCPCC Symposium
The lab traveled to UCSF last week for the UC Pancreatic Cancer Consortium Annual Symposium. The Symposium featured a talk from Dr. Halbrook, a short talk from Sabrina, a lightning talk from Rima, and poster presentations from Anaí, Austin, and Taryn!
New Funding from the American Cancer Society!
We are extremely grateful to have received a Research Scholar Grant from the American Cancer Society to support our work on pancreatic liver metastasis. This project grew out of the lab entirely based on the work of graduate student Rima Singh and many key collaborators. This award will support 4 years of work on this project, where we hope to bring new therapies to the clinic to disrupt intratumoral signaling.
