Excited to share that I just received a 5-year “CAREER” grant from NSF, which will fund research on mechanisms of gut microbiome dynamics in wild bees, as well as educational programs involving UCI undergrads, high school teachers, and students in the Anaheim Union High School District. Perla, the lab’s very first UCI undergrad researcher, is going to be starting a PhD in Microbiology at UC Davis this fall! Way to go Perla, we’re proud of you!
