Hopfer Communication Lab

Overview:

The Hopfer lab conducts health disparities research across three content areas: vaccine communication (HPV & COVID-19), health impacts of climate change, and health communication on social media channels. We also adapt prevention interventions to social media, community, and healthcare settings.

Our research involves mixed methods ranging from experimentally testing message-level effects of social, behavioral public health challenges, modeling communication networks, designing and implementing culturally grounded prevention interventions, and engaging in community based health equity focused collaborations.
