Global Neuroscience Social

SfN-sponsored Social
SfN2018, San Diego (6:45-8:45pm, Tue Nov 6, 2018)

Are you considering getting a job in foreign countries? Looking for someone from that target country to get tactics for survival? Different countries have different ways of neuroscience, and foreign experience will give you a new perspective in your science career. This Global Neuroscience Social focuses on encouraging neuroscientists to acquire experience in new countries. Junior/mid-career PIs from various countries gather together for you to give tips for survival. Three PIs having his/her lab in non-native counties will present how and why they started their new career in that country, and discuss scientific advantages to move into their countries. Supported by Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS), FENS, IBRO, Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience, and Champalimaud Neuroscience Programme.
