Last week, Dr. Paul Bardunias from Florida Atlantic University came to California for the first time since before the pandemic. Dr. Bardunias is a great collaborator and an even greater friend to Dr. Kisailus, having known and collaborated with him and the lab for the past 20 years. His work on termites and their mound building methodologies were very eye opening for the members in the lab. There were many productive discussions about his projects and the ones that the lab has been working on. He was also a detrimental piece in setting up our new beetle terrarium. We look forward to seeing him again!
