High School Students participated in summer reseach program at BiNoM Lab

In collaboration with the Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) at the University of California, Irvine (“UCI”), the Gifted and Talented Institute (GATI) discovers and develops the gifts and talents of academically advanced and hardworking pre-college scholars from all around the world. Two teams of high school students participated in the summer research program at the BiNoM Lab this summer – one team participated remotely, and another team participated in person. These were two-week programs. We are proud of the tremendous progress students made in their understanding of electrokinetic research, starting from the study of the theoretical background, making numerical analysis, conducting experiments, and then performing finite element analysis simulation. The programs commenced with student presentations. Students found their passion for research, and we hope to see them admitted to the best colleges and universities and to advance the science for the benefit of humankind.
