Dr. Lindsay will be speaking at the Head Start Health Summit annual meeting on October 26^th 2022 on the topic “Addressing the Interplay of Stress and Nutrition on Early Child Development”.

We would like to congratulate our undergraduate research assistant Arlyne Gutierrez for her graduation from UCI with a degree in Biological Sciences and minor in Chicano Latino Studies! Our team greatly appreciates all the dedication and hard work she has contributed to our studies, and hope her research experiences lead her to prosperity in her future career. Dr. Lindsay received $25,000 in research funds from the 2022 SSIHI pilot funding awards to conduct a pilot integrative health program for pregnant women which includes nutrition counseling, culinary training, and mindfulness stress management.

Congratulations to Jineen Mashayekh, one of the Lindsay Lab’s Bio 199 students, on receiving “Excellence in Research” for her project that analyzed the associations between maternal acute and chronic stress with plasma ghrelin levels in pregnant women.
