Hello from spring! This past winter was very eventful for the Marsden lab, and we’re excited to share some of the recent highlights:
Starting off, we attended the Palm Springs Symposium for HIV/AIDS with two new first-time attendees, Shireen and Thomas. Jose, Nishad, Shireen, and Tessa presented posters, while Thomas gave a talk.
Next, Tessa competed in the Grad Slam competition, where UCI grad students give three minute elevator pitches on their thesis research. Here she is in the semifinals (with honorary lab member Onwodi) and finals:
Finally, we would like to congratulate Shireen for her acceptance to UC Riverside’s Neuroscience PhD program as a Dean’s Distinguished Award fellow! On behalf of the entire lab, we’re looking forward to seeing what she’ll do next in grad school 🙂
