Biography

Hello! Welcome to my page – I appreciate you stopping by!

I am an assistant teaching professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC Irvine. I hold a PhD in engineering education from Purdue University and a BS in aerospace engineering from Syracuse University. It is a dream come true to be a university professor where I have the privilege of teaching and mentoring incredible students, working with exceptional colleagues, and researching the issues in engineering education that mean the most to me. I am passionate about providing students a meaningful educational experience that helps them achieve their personal goals.

Currently, I am most excited about the work I am doing with colleagues Brian Sato and Di Xu on our UCI Education Research Initiative. We are planning exciting ways to facilitate networks of education researchers at UCI and the Southern California community, and I am really looking forward to welcoming awesome people to our campus for our seminar series.
