Biography

Hello! Welcome to my page – I appreciate you stopping by!

I am an associate professor of teaching in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC Irvine. I hold a PhD in engineering education from Purdue University and a BS in aerospace engineering from Syracuse University. I am delighted to be a university professor where I have the privilege of teaching and mentoring incredible students, working with exceptional colleagues, and researching the issues in engineering education that mean the most to me. I work to provide students with meaningful educational experiences that help them achieve their personal goals.

Currently, I am most excited about the work I am doing on advancing equitable teaching strategies via two research projects funded by the National Science Foundation (The UBelong Collaborative – https://www.ubelongcollaborative.org/ and the AGEP HIRE Project – https://tpn.ucop.edu/agep/).
