Dr. Sajjadi was named inaugural recipient of the Joan and Don Beall Scholar Award. The grant will provide $50,000 per year for five years and will be used to support research into biomarkers for limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy (LATE).

August 2022: The lab was awarded an R21 grant to study the use of post-mortem MRI in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s mimics such as hippocampal sclerosis and small vessel lesions in the oldest-old.
AAIC 2022
Members of our lab (Dr. S. Ahmad Sajjadi, Dr. Davis Woodworth, and Dr. Giovanna Bubbico) presented 3 oral and 5 poster presentations at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2022, which took place from July 31st to August 4th. Dr. Sajjadi and Dr. Woodworth also chaired one session each.
