Dr. Gago-Masague conducts cross-disciplinary research in assistive and educational technologies, mentoring students in research areas such as product and software engineering, information systems, design and prototyping, Internet of Things, and serious games. He collaborates with several senior researchers and institutions, including public and private agencies on and off campus, utilities, and industry. Given the multidisciplinary nature of his work, he has worked with researchers in computer science, engineering, physics, education, nursing, psychology, pediatrics, and arts.
Dr. Gago-Masague has served as Co-lead in several large research projects supported by extramural funding, including several NIH R01 and NSF. He has worked closely with fellow researchers and has guided his graduate students in producing high-impact scholarly works presented in top-tier conferences.
