Research Assistant
Christine is a research assistant in the Stark Lab and a recent graduate of UC Irvine with a major in Neurobiology and a minor in Education. She assists through a variety of roles ranging from participant recruitment to database management. Christine is interested in the potential of video games for use in memory research as well as in the development of digital interventions for populations at risk for cognitive decline. She has collaborated on projects with Elena Singh exploring what factors of video games (speed, dimension, complexity) provide hippocampal enrichment. Her senior capstone project focused on examining the relationship between performance on 2 virtual tasks which assesses different hippocampus-dependent functions: pattern separation and spatial navigation. In her free time, she enjoys creating digital paintings.
