Elena Singh
Research Assistant
Elena is an undergraduate research assistant in the Stark lab and a senior studying Biological Sciences at UCI. Elena has collaborated on a video game research study with Christine Lee that analyzes the impact of (slow-paced and exploration based vs. fast-paced and action-based) gameplay pace on hippocampal function. Her other work involves assisting her mentor in her graduate study that focuses on Alzheimer’s disease in dogs. This task involves quality-checking MRI scans and preprocessed data of canines to flag bad scans. She is currently working on another project alongside Christine Lee that studies the impact of 2D non-action games vs. 3D non-action games on boosting hippocampal function. Elena is an aspiring physician interested in becoming a Neurologist after completing her undergraduate studies. In her free time, Elena enjoys reading books, exploring various cuisines, and spending time with friends and family.
