Esha Jacob

Research Assistant

Esha is a fourth-year Genetics major at UC Irvine and hopes to soon enroll in a graduate program to study Genetic Counseling. As an undergraduate research assistant in the Stark Lab, she helps out primarily with the MultiMRS project by scheduling/screening research participants and examining MRI data. She’s interested in learning about neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, and the process of how memory and other cognitive functions deteriorate over time (also how genetics play into this as well). Outside of the lab, she’s involved in the UCI Campuswide Honors Student Council and the Genetic Counseling Special Interest Group. She really enjoys spending a lot of time with her friends/family/pets, going to amusement parks, Bollywood dance, driving/listening to music, and playing video games.
