Hassan Naeem

Junior Specialist

Hassan works at the Stark Lab as a junior specialist. He is primarily responsible for managing recruitment for an MRI study and has various other responsibilities, such as updating the lab website, fostering connections with cultural centers through outreach efforts, and most importantly, stocking up on snacks for lab members. Hassan is also working on an independent research study that involves using an eye-tracking device to investigate eye movement behaviors while participants complete the Mnemonic Similarity Task (MST). Before joining the Stark Lab, Hassan was a student at UC Santa Cruz, where he served as a research assistant at the High-Level Perception Lab and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. There, he gained the research experience needed to work at the Stark Lab, most notably through collaborating with a graduate student on a VR study and completing an honors thesis that involved eye-tracking during reading and video games. In his free time, Hassan enjoys mountain biking, reading, weightlifting, and playing video games.
