The Teen Resilience Lab is dedicated to training the next generation of clinical & translational psychological scientists. We regularly train post-baccalaureate trainees through the UCI Post-baccalaureate Program in Psychological Science and doctoral students in clinical psychology.
Competitive doctoral applicants to our lab:
– Have doctoral training goals centered on the role of childhood experiences in the development and treatment of internalizing psychopathology with specific interests in modifiable neurobiological mechanisms
– Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a research lab
– Can demonstrate that they have pursued an independent research question from hypothesis generation to dissemination (i.e. conference presentation or publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal)
– Have demonstrated academic excellence in statistics or other quantitative methods, biological psychology / behavioral neuroscience, and experimental research methods
