Confía en mi, Confío en ti
This is a CDC-funded study evaluating the effectiveness of a strengths-based relationship program for low income Latinx parents and youth conducted in collaboration with our community partner, Latino Health Access.
The PARENT Study
The PARENT (Promoting Attachment Relationships and Experiences, Nurturing Toddlers) study focused on mothers and fathers of children ages 18 to 27 months.
Partners Care
The Partners Care study consists of a 45+ minute online survey to help us understand how people cope with their partner’s illness.
Unconditionally ParentX
We are interested in examining parents’ responses to their children’s gender norm conformity and nonconformity and its links with children’s well-being, with a particular focus on gender creative children.
Reflections Study
The Reflections Study is a two-session program focusing on discovering more about how adults aged 60-95 think about positive memories. We partnered with three sites in the Greater Los Angeles area.
The Naïve Observer Study
The Naïve Observer study aims to test the accuracy and mechanism by which naïve observers, who are given very little information, are able to detect information about individuals who have recently experienced a romantic breakup.
The Partner Reflective Functioning Study
The Partner Reflective Functioning study examines reflective functioning (RF), the capacity to recognize and understand how emotions can affect behavior in oneself and others, in the context of romantic relationships (Partner RF). The main aim is to understand how cultural factors may relate to Partner RF.
Attention to Daily Life Study
This study aims to understand differences in how individuals attend to their daily lives and have interpersonal connections. The full study includes (1) an online survey about health and well-being measures, (2) an in-lab session involving a few tasks, and (3) a 24-hour online follow-up survey.
Chinese International Students & Parents Study (CISP)
The CISP study recruits first-year Chinese international undergraduates at UCI and their parents to understand their experiences studying abroad and how they transition to this life event. This may help us better understand their experiences being away from home. The study involves a one-hour online survey that includes questions about health and life as a student, and a one-hour in-lab interview.
