The Ulibarri group always has an eye out for curious, hard-working individuals to join the group. Backgrounds in social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering who are interested in working at the intersection of policy, infrastructure (broadly defined), and environmental management are welcome.
Why should you join this group? Practical skills. Dedicated and compassionate advising. Responsive. And we think research should be fun!
Dr. Ulibarri advises students primarily through the PhD program in Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy. Students interested in being co-advised with faculty in Psychological Sciences or Criminology, Law, & Society may consider the PhD in Social Ecology. If you are interested in working with us, please email Dr. Ulibarri about your background and possible research interests and an updated resume or CV.
If you’d like to collaborate on a postdoctoral project, please email Dr. Ulibarri a cover letter detailing your research background and project idea, your CV, and a sample publication. The sooner you contact me, the better, so we can keep an eye out for additional funding and ensure a a strong proposal. UC-specific funding opportunities include:

UC MEXUS-CONACYT Fellowship (due March)
