Welcome. 

I am a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine.

I am also Associate Dean of Student Programs in the School of Social Sciences.

My research interests center on patterns of gender and racial inequality within and across organizations and labor markets. Some of my recent work also examines how the changing nature of public sector employment has affected racial inequality.
