The Browne lab is engaged in multidisciplinary collaborations with experts across the UCI campus. Informed by Dr. Browne’s experience as a physician and surgeon managing patients with sight threatening conditions, the Browne lab engineers technological tools to better test and treat the human eye. Dr Browne, his trainees and collaborators leverage optics, microfluidics, and artificial intelligence to innovate in multimodal imaging, retinal transplantation, retinal surgery, and stem cell-derived retinal tissue manufacturing.
