Last week, Marie and Minji gave an incredible 1-hour presentation as part of UCI’s Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center’s Community Lecture Series. This event provides a unique opportunity for non-scientists to learn about cutting-edge research in an accessible and engaging format. Their talk showcased our lab’s research efforts and future directions, followed by an insightful Q&A session with the audience.
Welcome Daniella!
We welcome Daniella Lu as a rotation student this quarter (Fall 2024)! She earned her B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University in 2021 and worked in translational research in the biotech industry before joining the CMB program at UCI. We are excited to share our research with her and help her grow as a scientist!
Welcome, Dr. Hongseok Yun!
We are excited to welcome Hongseok Yun to the Byun lab as a visiting scholar! Hongseok earned his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at KAIST, Korea, and has extensive experience in bioinformatics, genomics, and metabolomics. Before joining us, he worked in R&D at Samsung SDS and as a Clinical Associate Professor at Seoul National University Hospital, where he developed NGS assays and multi-omics pipelines for clinical applications. We look forward to the expertise he brings to our research team!
Welcome Zach!
