Near the end of the project, students were invited to visit the UC Irvine campus to tour the environmental labs, conduct further experiments, and learn about the life of a college student. This visit served a dual purpose:
-It served as a culminating experience to celebrate the great work the students had done throughout Project CRYSTAL
-It gave the students further opportunity to interact with college students, this time in the college environment, all with the potential benefit of helping the elementary school students understand that college is an attainable and valuable goal for them as well
