Dedicated to nurturing the next generation of scientists, the Jafari Lab is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment for individuals of all backgrounds. In particular, we seek to work with underrepresented minority populations in STEM, to help bring diverse perspectives to table—encouraging diversity of skills, thought, and experiences which strengthen our ability to address important research questions with real world applications. With success in interdisciplinary training, we support students from underrepresented and underserved communities in STEM, and hope to provide them with the mentorship and opportunities needed to succeed in the sciences. The Jafari Lab is committed to UCI’s mission as a public research university to strive for equity, diversity, and inclusion across our campus. If you are interested in working with us, please contact Dr. Mahtab Jafari (mjafari@uci.edu).
