American Psychological Association “Asian Americans: Model or Marginalized Minority?”

June 4, 2023 by donl3

The American Psychological Association (APA) is known as one of the leading scientific organizations for psychology in the United States. In their article titled “Asian Americans: Model or Marginalized Minority?,” APA centers on psychological challenges that Asian Americans face in identifying and making meaning of their place in American society.

Congratulations to Dr. Jacqueline H. J. Kim, PhD for being featured in the APA press release for her 2021 research “Overcoming Constraints of the Model Minority Stereotype to Advance Asian American Health”! Dr. Kim’s work truly stands out as an important message for those who can relate to or want to be informed about Asian American pressures.
