The 2024 Asian American Cancer Health Symposium took place on April 27 at City of Hope. This event was a specialized conference dedicated to addressing the unique cancer-related health issues faced by the Asian American community.
Asian Americans are the only group in whom cancer is the #1 cause of death in the United States. (heart disease is #1 in all other groups). While genes tell part of the cancer story, there are still lifestyle and environmental factors that contribute to cancer risk. This year, Dr. Park was invited to speak on Environmental Exposures and Cancer Risk in Asian Americans.
