PHD Students
Pegah’s research focus is on the damage and repair mechanisms of neuronal cells. Pegah came from Iran to study at UCI. She enjoys photography of the natural world.
Nicholas is a PhD student in the BME program. His research is focused on the application of optical vortices to biological problems. His interests include watching ‘Alone’ and abstract art.
Undergraduate Students
Nicholas is an undergraduate student in the BME program at UCI. He is currently performing research in Holography and is investigating methods to create holograms using photosensitive dry film. His plans after graduating include working in the Biomedical industry and advancing towards higher education in Biomedical Engineering. Outside of the lab, he enjoys running, longboarding, and spending time with friends and family.
Thomas has been extensively working on low-cost endoscopes for the thirdworld. His interests include drawing cartoons and watching star wars movies.
Ethan is an undergraduate student in the BME program at UCI. He is currently creating a multiaxis 3D printed microscopic stage and is assisting Nicholas Mann on his Holographic Topological Insulator Project. His plans after obtaining his bachelor’s is to work in the Biomedical/Bio Engineering Industry. When he has free time, he likes to hike, play basketball, swim at the beach, and be with his friends and family.
