Associate Professor | Environmental Anthropologist
I research contemporary processes that make what count as environments. My projects focus on how different groups use the system concept to imagine, control, and reorganize spatial relations across space and time. I also do a lot of painting rather than writing.
I have served on UCI interdisciplinary initiatives such as Water UCI , the Salton Sea Initiative, the UCI OCEANS Initiative, and the UCI Community Resilience program.
