Welcome to the Trauma and Resilience Lab!

The Trauma and Resilience Lab, lead by Dr. Alyson Zalta and housed in the Dept. of Psychological Science at UC Irvine, conducts translational research exploring factors that impact the development of trauma-related psychopathology and intervention strategies aimed at mitigating the impact of trauma. The lab focuses on research that can inform scalable treatment interventions and takes particular interest in working with vulnerable populations, including veterans and homeless youth. The lab also utilizes neurobiological perspectives in addressing these issues, and is connected to UCI’s Institute for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience Research (IISBR).
