Prof. Zenyuk traveled to Germany in January. She visited our collaborators at Bosch in Renningen with update presentation and discussions. Then she visited collaborators at Helmholtz Institute in Erlangen. She got a chance to visit groups of Dr. Serhiy Cherevko and Prof. Simon Thiele, concluding with enjoyable dinner and social time.
Then Prof. Zenyuk traveled to Cologne for energy programs review of DLR, which took 3 days. We visited various DLR sites and laboratories and among the sites seen, the concentrated solar energy for thermal conversion was very impressive to see. The review was a nice learning and networking experience, also seeing old friends and making new ones. Lastly, it was great to reconnect with Prof. Christof Schulz from University Duisburg-Essen on the last evening of the trip.
