Continuing on with the Zenyuk group’s summer travels! Dr. Hung-Ming Chang had the opportunity to spend a month at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) where he focused on learning how to build a high pressure water electrolysis test stand.
He also had a chance to reconnect with lab alumni, Dr. Kaustubh Khedekar, who is now staff scientist at NREL!
Phd Student, Jesus Lopez also had the opportunity to travel and attend the Next Generation Electrochemistry (NGenE) workshop hosted at Argonne National Lab – this year’s them was “Electrochemistry for Energy Abundance”. This was a heavily involved workshop with many great speakers and tours of the cutting edge facilities within Argonne National Lab.
PhD student, Jack Lang also participated in a 2 week-long National X-Ray school held at Argonne National Lab. Jack was one of 50 students chosen from the USA and Canada. Jack participated in many informative lectures, hands on tutorials at various beamlines at the Advanced Photon Source as well as tours of the facilities.
