The group had fun at bowling alley, showcasing their bowling skills. We learned about each other styles and learned from each other. Ice cream afterwards was a perfect way to end 2022.

The group attends World Fuel Cell Conference hosted by Clean Energy Institute here at UC Irvine. Prof. Brouwer was an organizer and Prof. Zenyuk acted as a co-organizer along others. Prof. Zenyuk delivered a keynote presentation. 9 group members showed up for this early 8 am talk! Hicham also gave a contributing talk.

The group is saying goodbye to Masao who will spend the remaining 1.5 years at LBNL, co-supervised by Prof. Zenyuk and Dr. Weber. We will miss you Masao but know that you will visit often.

Prof. Zenyuk travels to University of Minneapolis, Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science to deliver invited departmental seminar. Prof. Michelle Calabrese was the host. Cliff, Hung-Ming, Jack and Prof. Zenyuk traveled to x-ray CT beamtime at Advanced Light Source (ALS), Berkeley, CA and the team did amazing job of imaging various operando cells, reaching more than 200 scans (a record!). Congratulations to Dr. Huang and Dr. Khedekar on their successful theses defenses. Both did phenomenal job during presentations and handled questions masterfully. The committees were truly impressed with their excellence. We will miss you and good luck in the next stages of your careers! And we had a great party to celebrate their successes!

It was fun visiting our collaborators and partners at De Nora, see their R&D facilities, manufacturing plant and to deliver a talk at their annual symposium. We are looking forward to continued collaboration!

Prof. Zenyuk delivered a keynote talk at Electrolysis Annex IEA hosted by NEL Hydrogen. It was also great to reconnect with our alumni Devashish who is now working there. Thanks to organizers for this honor to deliver a keynote.

Our collaborators from Toyota Central R&D stopped by at UCI after ECS in Atlanta to deliver talks and exchange ideas. We also enjoyed the dinner at Javier.
