Research Interest
Fun!
As the chief programmer of the Yassa lab, I am interested in machine learning algorithms and computational approaches in neuroscience. Currently, my work focuses on applying novel computational approaches such as deep learning and hierarchical bayesian modeling to learn more from our data. In addition, I help to build computerized tasks and maintain the databases/servers that we have in the lab. In the future I see myself working for a company where I can expand my skills in big data, preferably in neuroscience, in the rising field of data science. I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine.

Lab Research Projects

I contribute to the following research areas in the Translational Neuroscience Laboratory.

  •  Methods (Diffusion modeling)
I am interested in applied machine learning, AI, and virtual reality.
When I get home from the lab, I tend to engage in Truck Driver simulator, Car Mechanic simulator, or Farming simulator for 6-8 hours at a time.

What the lab means to me…
“When I think of the Yassa lab, collaboration and interdisciplinary research comes to my mind.”
