The Bardwell Lab, in collaboration with two other UCI labs, has been awarded a new pilot award from the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
In collaboration with the laboratories of James Nowick and David Fruman, the team will work on a novel strategy to drug a protein that is one of the most frequently mutated in human cancer.
The title of the project is: “Novel Inhibitors of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) that target scaffold protein-mediated interactions”.
Funds for the project were provided, in part, by participants in the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge. We thank those dedicated bikers, runners and walkers !
