Leo’s PLoS Computational Biology paper published

Former Bardwell lab graduate student Leonila Lagunes‘ first author publication, entitled “Effect of magnitude and variability of energy of activation in multisite ultrasensitive biochemical processes,” has now been published in PLoS Computational Biology.

The study is in collaboration with Professor German Enciso.

New ICTS Pilot Award

The Bardwell Lab, in collaboration with two other UCI labs, has been awarded a new pilot award from the UCI Institute for Clinical and Translational Studies.

The title of the project is: “Novel Inhibitors of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) that target scaffold protein-mediated interactions”.

In collaboration with the laboratories of James Nowick and David Fruman, the team will work on a novel strategy to drug a protein that is one of the most frequently mutated in human cancer.

New Anti-Cancer Pilot Award

The Bardwell Lab, in collaboration with two other UCI labs, has been awarded a new pilot award from the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In collaboration with the laboratories of James Nowick and David Fruman, the team will work on a novel strategy to drug a protein that is one of the most frequently mutated in human cancer.

The title of the project is: “Novel Inhibitors of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) that target scaffold protein-mediated interactions”.

Funds for the project were provided, in part, by participants in the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge.  We thank those dedicated bikers, runners and walkers !

New UC Cancer Research Grant

The Bardwell lab has been awarded a new grant from the University of California Cancer Research Coordinating Committee (CRCC), on the topic of “Novel Links Between Wnt Signaling, Centrosomes, and Cancer”.  This project is in collaboration with the lab of Marian Waterman.
