Postdoctoral positions (Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics) are available to study the mechanisms of pre-mRNA splicing and how it relates to human disease. Specific projects include:

* Mechanisms of splice site selection and pairing

* The role of alternative pre-mRNA splicing in cancer

* Development of RNA-based strategies to correct mis-splicing

* Global analysis of in vivo splicing kinetics

Interested, motivated individuals with experience in biochemistry, molecular biology or bioinformatics should send a CV, a description of research experience and names and contact information of three references to: Dr. Klemens J. Hertel at khertel@uci.edu.

Alternatively, materials can be sent to the postal address listed on the Hertel Home-Page.
