Liv McMillan is a research specialist and program manager for the Translational Neurobiology Research Lab at UCI. Liv obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara and began working in epidemiology at the Parkinson’s Institute, where she traveled all over the United States interviewing and testing cognitive and physical functioning of Parkinson’s affected twin pairs. In 2004, she started working at UC Irvine in the Dept. of Psychiatry and Human Behavior as a senior research coordinator and MRI technician for clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease, depression, schizophrenia, and PTSD. Liv joined the Yassa Lab in the Dept. of Neurobiology and Behavior in 2017 and manages all aspects of the research studies and activities under Dr. Michael Yassa as well as supervises all full-time staff and students.
