About Me
Research Interests
Fun!
I graduated from UC Riverside with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. As an undergrad, I was a research assistant in Dr. Hughes’s Social Neuroscience Lab and in the Korzus Lab. In my final year of undergrad, I was selected as a Chancellor Research Fellow to conduct an independent research project with the guidance of Dr. Natsuaki and the Developmental Transitions Lab. My experiences have allowed me to explore my interest in research and reassured me that research is the career that I want to pursue. I plan to continue exploring my research interest through my involvement with the Yassa Lab as a Jr. Research Specialist. My goal is to eventually pursue a Ph.D. in Social Neuropsychology.
My research interests involve the identification of neural pathways activated during emotion regulation. Furthermore, I am interested in how these pathways are affected when cognitive impairments occur, such as in memory loss and mental disorders. An improved understanding of these circuits paves the way for better treatment options available to those affected.
During my free time, I like to stay active. This could look like going to the gym or visiting areas in nature, such as a local park or the beach. I enjoy reading and listening to podcasts about anything philosophy, psychology, or neuroscience focused. I also have a love of fashion as it allows me to express myself through clothing.
