Thomas was awarded the Melucci Endowed Fellowship for Spring 2025. The Melucci Endowed Fellowship was created to support and enhance the education of UC Irvine graduate students working in space exploration and space technology. Past recipients have worked on the Rover guidance system for landing on Mars, electric propulsion for space craft, as well as people looking at combustion and structures.
