Omobayo Salawu

Graduate Student Researcher

Location: ET 536

Email: osalawu@uci.edu

Omobayo is a 3rd year PhD student (and a PhD candidate). He is interested in using experimental and theoretical methods to investigate sources, fate, transport, and remediation of emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), microplastics, and pharmaceuticals. His current research is on the sources and fate of PFAS in a sewershed. Omobayo holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia where he investigated the adsorption of heavy metals by biosynthesized nanoparticles.
