STREAM at ASEE 2025 in Montreal

Natascha, Melissa, and Spencer went to the ASEE Conference in Montreal this past summer to present our research. On behalf of Joey (who unfortunately could not make it), Natascha presented their work under the AGEP grant. Melissa and Spencer presented the paper they wrote under the UBelong grant. We also ran into other UCI engineering education researchers, Prof. David Copp and Tara Esfahani! We had a great time exploring the beautiful city and learning about current research in our community. Next year will be in North Carolina!

STREAM Research Group at SABER West

This past weekend, I attended SABER West with my research group. Most of us were there to learn and didn’t present anything; however, I was very proud to see Leone’s beautiful poster from his research on students’ experiences studying for and taking the MCAT. SABER West may be hosted by a Biology Education Society, but they are extremely welcome and research across STEM education was presented and discussed. I personally really enjoy small conferences where I know a lot of people, and it was great to introduce my students to the larger STEM Education Research community.
