Research and Publications

Key Research Area

I aim to understand the experiences of engineers (students, instructors, professionals) in academic and workplace contexts. This includes the teaching experiences and methods of graduate students and faculty at a variety of institutional types; the experiences of students and practicing engineers in industry; the experiences of graduate students while writing; and the attitudes of faculty on teaching practices such as writing.

Recordings of my research presentations:

  • At the UCI School of Education Brownbag in November 2020 (pardon the technical difficulties at the beginning. Start at 6:30): Brownbag Seminar
  • At the UC STEM Faculty Learning Community annual meeting in Santa Barbara in November 2018: UC Learning Community Presentation
